From Muluk Iʻtizadi to Maymanat Jaʻfari
The letter reads: "Dear friend, I received your letter on Thursday night and it made me very happy. I pray to God, saying, 'if you are going to take everything from me, please do not take these two dear friends, who I have known for 18 years.' I always pray for your health and Khanum Vafadust's health. I saw your letter for Khanum Vafadust when I was with her and we were waiting for Asghar to bring our lunch. Then your letter for me arrived and she suggested that we write both of our replies to you on one letter. However, thinking of you tonight, I couldn't wait any longer so I decided to...

Mu‘azzaz al-Mulk also tells her about the death of the one-and-half year old son of his sister, ‘Ismat al-Muluk, who was being taken care of by Khanum in Mashhad. He was sad to think of ‘Ismat...
